Taken from a photo from when I used to live in Mississippi. This was a section of abandoned railway that marked the border of our property. I used it as a chance to work in my favourite medium: mixed. Sponges and stiff-bristled brushes are your friends when it comes to painting leaves! Fine-tipped pens are necessary for those tiny branches.

Medium: Acrylic paint, Pentel markers, black pen on watercolour paper
Completed: Sept. 26, 2006

Ha ha. Indeed. Though, with a track that rusty, I'm not sure it's necessary any more. It hadn't felt a train wheel in years!

Thank you! They were fun, if not a little annoying.

Hmmm. I don't remember. A couple of days, perhaps. No more than that, I'm sure. It's all quick-drying materials, so I didn't have any wait time to speak of.
